Key Responsibilities

  • Complete planned maintenance inspections to a high standard
  • Plan and deliver corrective and reactive work to minimise downtime
  • Maintain and improve plant and equipment to maximise availability and performance
  • Carry out dynamic risk assessments to uphold safe working practices
  • Maintain shift paperwork, condition reports, and stock control records
  • Assess malfunctioning equipment and advise site management on next steps
  • Support engineering projects, new installations, and refurbishments
  • Update and administer the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Contribute to problem-solving workshops to identify root causes and improvements
  • Attend daily review meetings, reporting on maintenance compliance and live defects

Requirements

  • Completed apprenticeship (NVQ Level 2 or 3) in a relevant engineering discipline
  • HNC, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in an appropriate discipline
  • Experience in a process, production, or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems, their purposes, and functionalities
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and safety
  • Strong diagnostic skills and logical, methodical thinking
  • Good communication skills across a production team
