Key Responsibilities
- Complete planned maintenance inspections to a high standard
- Plan and deliver corrective and reactive work to minimise downtime
- Maintain and improve plant and equipment to maximise availability and performance
- Carry out dynamic risk assessments to uphold safe working practices
- Maintain shift paperwork, condition reports, and stock control records
- Assess malfunctioning equipment and advise site management on next steps
- Support engineering projects, new installations, and refurbishments
- Update and administer the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Contribute to problem-solving workshops to identify root causes and improvements
- Attend daily review meetings, reporting on maintenance compliance and live defects
Requirements
- Completed apprenticeship (NVQ Level 2 or 3) in a relevant engineering discipline
- HNC, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in an appropriate discipline
- Experience in a process, production, or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of CMMS systems, their purposes, and functionalities
- Knowledge of electrical systems and safety
- Strong diagnostic skills and logical, methodical thinking
- Good communication skills across a production team
