Qualification, Certification and Organization
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum or Marine Engineering from a recognised Higher Learning Institution
- Registered with Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM)

Experience
- At least one (1) year working experience as field engineer under probation/associate training
- Previous working experience in the oil and gas industry

Expected Skill / Attribute / Competency
- Competent in technical and IT skills and essential software packages (e.g. Word, Excel, Project). Knowledge in AutoCAD is an added advantage
- Proficient in English with good oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of other foreign language(s) would be an advantage
- Upon end of probation, able to review and implement scope of work and interpret construction drawings
- Upon end of probation, able to review, prepare and outsource subcontractors, materials and equipment for projects
- Upon end of probation, able to supervise, monitor and provide technical support to offshore installation at work site
- Upon end of probation, able to oversee, monitor and provide technical support to structures and pipelines loadout at fabrication yard
- Upon end of probation, able to perform rigging calculations and select equipment required for offshore installation
- Upon end of probation, able to perform all engineering verifications and calculations for offshore installation
- Upon end of probation, able to generate and develop installation sketches and drawings for drafting to formulate installation procedures
- Upon end of probation, able to generate work barge set-up and anchor patterns for offshore installation
- Upon end of probation, able to plan, coordinate and optimise structure and pipeline components layout and loadout arrangement on transportation barges
- Upon end of probation, able to produce post-job analysis and as-built reports
- Upon end of probation, able to plan project needs efficiently to meet target schedule
- Upon end of probation, able to troubleshoot, solve and identify technical problems and make necessary technical decisions within contractual limitations
- Upon end of probation, able to ensure operations crew on board vessels receive full information on reports, manuals and drawings
- Upon end of probation, able to follow up on offshore activities progress or at any construction sites as required by the project
- Personal traits include: mature, fit, self-starter, analytical, independent, proactive, good team player, able to work under pressure, and able to work long and irregular hours at office, onshore and offshore
- Possess valid car driving licence and willing to travel heavily and extensively at short notice

Main Responsibility

Plan, lead, manage, supervise, advise and assign resources for multiple projects to ensure engineering deliverables are met and support tender preparations with technical inputs.

Office
- Review scope of work and interpret construction drawings and job scopes
- Plan and prepare work sequence according to specific project scope of work with assistance from Senior Field Engineer/Operation Engineer
- Develop installation sketches and drawings for the development of installation procedures
- Perform rigging calculations and select rigging and equipment for pipeline and platform installation
- Liaise with Engineering Department for any specific engineering calculations that require use of engineering software and development of new calculation spreadsheets
- Generate work barge anchor patterns for various types of installation modes
- Plan, coordinate and optimise platform and pipeline components on transportation barges (layout, grillage, sea-fastening and loadout work) along with design engineers
- Prepare and outsource subcontractors, project materials and equipment to be used in installation projects
- Raise materials and subcontractors requisitions for projects and track materials through to delivery
- Prepare post-job analysis and as-built reports
- Interface internally with Project Services, Marine and Logistics, Engineering and Drafting, QA/QC and HSE departments
- Provide relevant input to Engineering Design for the development of engineering design drawings
- Communicate with all parties involved in project planning and execution, including Engineering Design, Fabrication Yard and commissioning teams

Offshore/Onshore
- Supervise, monitor and provide technical support for offshore/onshore installation works in the field or on site
- Ensure that the details included in the installation procedures are fully understood and properly applied by the construction personnel and that all project preparation is in order
- Support Senior Field Engineer on-board work vessels/barges or onshore in day-to-day installation work, including:
- Supervision of installation work by the construction crew
- Attending daily and toolbox meetings
- Preparation of installation aids on deck
