Sr. Construction Supervisor (Pos. 15.7.8)

Singapore & Doha

Qualification

  • Education: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university, or Diploma in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering discipline or equivalent, plus relevant courses in Safety, Quality Control, and Construction.

Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of experience supervising fabrication and offshore hook-up of oil and gas production/wellhead topsides and jackets, including construction work and material inspection, review and approval of construction method statements, and load-out activities.
  • Strong experience in FEED and EPIC projects with demonstrated capability to review and approve contractor deliverables.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety, and environmental awareness.
  • Strong ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules, and drawings.
  • Ability to identify potential bottlenecks or problems and suggest effective solutions.
  • Competence in supervising a multi-national and multi-cultural contractor workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible and accountable for day-to-day construction and execution of structural, piping, and mechanical aspects of the redevelopment project, ensuring work is constructed according to approved scope, drawings, engineering design, safety and environmental requirements, and specified standards and specifications.
  • Act as an interface between the Assistant Manager, Construction, Asset Holder, Contractor, and Construction Supervisors.
  • Provide discipline guidance to Construction Supervisors and the Contractor to ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved method statements, project schedules, quality, and HSE requirements.
