About the Opportunity

A leading offshore energy and marine services organization is seeking an experienced Senior Manager - DSV and Workboats to oversee vessel operations across offshore support and subsea construction activities.

This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations of assigned vessels while supporting offshore project execution, marine logistics and vessel readiness. The successful candidate will work closely with marine crews, offshore operations teams, technical departments, subcontractors and clients to maintain operational excellence across vessel management activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily operations of assigned diving support vessels and workboats
  • Ensure vessel operations comply with IMO, flag state, classification society and client requirements
  • Support operational budget planning and resource utilization activities
  • Monitor vessel readiness, operational efficiency and downtime reduction initiatives
  • Coordinate vessel inspections, surveys and audits with classification societies and clients
  • Ensure planned maintenance systems are implemented and maintained effectively
  • Participate in HSE audits, inspections and offshore operational reviews
  • Support technical issue resolution during offshore operations and vessel activities
  • Ensure compliance with ISM, MLC and marine regulatory requirements
  • Promote strong offshore safety culture and implementation of approved HSE policies and procedures
  • Monitor corrective action close-out and incident investigation activities
  • Coordinate vessel mobilization, demobilization and offshore logistics support
  • Support marine spread coordination, vessel movement planning and offshore operational scheduling
  • Ensure vessel crews and offshore personnel are appropriately familiarized and trained
  • Liaise with clients during offshore project planning and execution activities
  • Monitor operational reporting, field documentation and offshore reporting submissions
  • Coordinate with technical, procurement and support teams to maintain vessel operational readiness
  • Support supplier, subcontractor and marine service provider management activities
  • Act as key operational liaison between clients, offshore teams and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • Class 1 Certificate of Competency in Marine Engineering or equivalent marine qualification
  • Minimum 16 years of experience within the marine or offshore industry
  • Strong experience managing offshore support vessels, DSV operations or marine spreads
  • Strong understanding of marine regulations, classification requirements and offshore vessel operations
  • Experience supporting offshore construction, subsea or marine project activities
  • Knowledge of vessel planned maintenance systems and marine technical operations
  • Strong understanding of HSE, ISM and MLC compliance requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work independently within fast-paced offshore operational environments
