SURF Interface Engineer

About the Opportunity
An international energy operator is seeking a SURF Interface Engineer to support the delivery of major offshore subsea developments. This role will focus on interface coordination and engineering integration across subsea production systems, umbilicals, risers, flowlines and offshore installation activities.
The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams, offshore installation contractors and project stakeholders to support safe and efficient project execution throughout engineering, fabrication and offshore installation phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate SURF interface management activities across offshore project scopes
- Support engineering integration between subsea systems, installation contractors and project teams
- Assist with subsea installation engineering and offshore construction coordination
- Support FEED and detailed engineering review activities
- Coordinate interface activities related to SPS, umbilicals, risers, flowlines and subsea installation works
- Monitor contractor engineering deliverables and offshore installation progress
- Support vessel mobilization, offshore campaign preparation and subsea execution activities
- Participate in technical meetings, interface reviews and offshore planning sessions
- Assist with offshore installation issue resolution and interface risk management
- Ensure project documentation, interface registers and engineering records remain accurate and up to date
Requirements
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering, Subsea Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in subsea systems, installation engineering or interface management within offshore oil and gas projects
- Experience supporting EPCI projects involving SPS, umbilicals, risers, flowlines and offshore installations
- Strong understanding of subsea system design, installation engineering and offshore construction activities
- Experience with rigging, lifting, ROV operations, vessel mobilization and subsea tie-ins
- Strong experience with FEED and detailed engineering processes
- Experience working in fabrication yards, offshore vessels and engineering offices
- Strong coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Able to work effectively within multidisciplinary and international project teams
