Key Responsibilities

  • Produce contractual documents in accordance with company procedures and ethics.
  • Provide a quality, cost-effective, and time-efficient contracts service to technical entities.
  • Participate in optimizing the economic performance of operations.
  • Work closely with counterparts to create contract dossiers, define contractual responsibilities, and manage agendas including contract strategy validation, negotiation, and analysis of commercial bids, and participation in recommendations to award.
  • Ensure all insurance issues related to company assets and personnel are addressed.
  • Monitor performance using KPIs and ensure the update of contract management tools.
  • Stay informed of best practices in contract procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Utilize frame agreements signed by shareholders.
  • Prepare and maintain an up-to-date list of qualified contractors, suppliers, potential tenders, and contracts for market studies and analysis.
  • Participate in validating contract strategies, arranging and attending contract committee meetings, pre-qualifying bidders, defining target prices, and evaluation criteria.
  • Create commercial documents for calls for tender and issue them to contractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare and send out pre-consultation and invitation to bid dossiers.
  • Ensure alignment with HSE clauses, company rules, procedures, instructions, and applicable legislation in all technical contracts and commercial terms.
  • Verify standard, general, and financial terms and conditions.
  • Establish technical contracts and agreements, directly participating in the most complex contracts.
  • Conduct bid analysis and negotiations for terms and conditions and commercial aspects, creating clear definitions of responsibilities and documentation.
  • Participate in recommendations to award and award validation, evaluating recommendations as part of the contract committee.
  • Handle approvals from authorities and partners, clarify rights and obligations of signing parties, and manage the signature process of formal documents.
  • Ensure handover of contracts to relevant entities.
  • Assist in the settlement of claims and lawsuits by proposing strategies and participating in negotiations.
  • Monitor ongoing contract status and participate in contract renewal and amendment discussions.
  • Adhere to HSE rules and take necessary measures to avert immediate threats of danger.
  • Mentor Contracts Engineers.

Requirements

  • BSc Degree in Science or Commercial field or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years post-graduate experience in contracts within the oil and gas industry.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Contract Engineer.
  • Advanced level in contracts technical competencies.
  • Advanced certification in contracts and procurement tools required.
  • Strong management, human relations, problem-solving, planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling skills.
  • International experience preferred.
