About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead (Process) to provide technical leadership and oversight for the design and delivery of offshore process facilities within a major energy infrastructure development project.

This role is responsible for ensuring process engineering designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and operational objectives while supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient execution of large-scale offshore developments. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead process engineering activities for offshore facilities and ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Review, assess, and approve contractor engineering deliverables related to offshore process systems and equipment.
  • Support project execution by planning and coordinating engineering deliverables to meet project schedules and technical requirements.
  • Participate in key engineering and risk review workshops, including design reviews, HAZOPs, SIL assessments, value engineering sessions, and lessons learned activities.
  • Monitor contractor performance and progress, ensuring timely delivery of process engineering documentation and design packages.
  • Coordinate with technical specialists and multidisciplinary teams to resolve engineering issues and evaluate technical deviations when necessary.
  • Manage engineering interfaces across offshore process systems, facilities, and associated infrastructure.
  • Support construction, commissioning, and handover activities through review of technical queries, design updates, and as-built documentation.
  • Promote continuous improvement, technical excellence, and effective risk management throughout project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of engineering experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience within the oil and gas, LNG, petrochemical, or energy sector.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory, lead, or contractor oversight role.
  • Demonstrated experience working on large-scale engineering projects through multiple phases, ideally from FEED through commissioning and start-up.
  • Experience managing engineering contractors, vendors, and third-party service providers.
  • Strong understanding of offshore facilities, process systems, design standards, engineering specifications, and operational requirements.
  • Experience applying risk-based decision-making methodologies.
  • Exposure to technology adoption, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working within integrated operating and project organizations.
