Project Engineer (Civil Construction)

Overview
An opportunity is available for an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale high-rise construction projects. This role focuses on site execution, coordination, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
You will work closely with project management, planning teams, and contractors to drive construction progress and maintain quality standards across all phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development of detailed work programmes and material procurement schedules with the Planning Engineer
- Assist with mobilisation of site resources and project setup
- Implement construction programmes in line with project objectives
- Prepare monthly forecasts for manpower and material requirements
- Review daily work schedules, equipment, and manpower allocation with site teams
- Monitor project progress and highlight risks related to quality, cost, and schedule
- Review construction drawings and resolve discrepancies with engineering teams or consultants
- Source materials in line with specifications and manage technical submittals for approval
- Monitor and promote site safety performance and recommend improvements
- Attend inspections and coordinate required follow-up actions
- Supervise subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with quality and schedule
- Prepare as-built drawings and final project documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil construction, with a focus on high-rise building projects
- Direct experience supervising major construction sites
- Certified Engineer (Unlimited Floors) or equivalent preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, standards, and codes
- Experience in project scheduling, site management, and coordination
- Strong budget management and cost reporting capability
- Experience handling subcontractor variations and claims
- Ability to manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams and contractors
- Strong communication and organisational skills
