Senior Planning and Control Engineer

Overview
An opportunity is available for a Senior Planning and Control Engineer to support large-scale construction projects, with a strong focus on high-rise developments. This role is responsible for managing project schedules, monitoring progress, and supporting cost and resource planning to ensure successful project delivery.
You will work closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain alignment on timelines, budgets, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, baselines, and execution plans
- Monitor project progress against schedule and perform variance analysis
- Identify risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies
- Support resource planning and ensure alignment with project timelines
- Assist with cost control activities including tracking trends and supporting change management
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and clients to resolve planning issues
- Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports
- Conduct critical path analysis and provide schedule insights
- Review and validate contractor schedules and planning submissions
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the construction industry
- Proven experience working on high-rise building projects
- Certified Engineer (Unlimited Floors) or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
- Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, and reporting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to project delivery
