Position Summary
An exciting opportunity is available for a Principal Riser Engineer to lead riser engineering activities on major deepwater offshore developments. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis and technical assurance of riser systems throughout project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering design and analysis of offshore riser systems.
- Perform flexible riser and Steel Catenary Riser (SCR) design.
- Develop engineering calculations, specifications and technical reports.
- Perform global and local riser analyses.
- Support installation engineering and offshore operations.
- Coordinate with subsea, pipeline and installation engineering disciplines.
- Participate in client meetings, technical reviews and design verification.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Offshore, Ocean or Civil Engineering.
- Extensive experience in offshore riser engineering.
- Proven experience with deepwater SURF projects.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Flexible risers
- Steel Catenary Risers (SCR)
- Dynamic riser behaviour
- Installation engineering
- Proficiency with:
- OrcaFlex
- Flexcom
- Experience working with international offshore engineering contractors is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
