Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Installation Analysis Engineer to provide technical leadership for offshore installation engineering across subsea projects.

The successful candidate will develop installation methodologies, perform advanced installation analyses, and provide engineering support for offshore construction activities involving pipelines, flexible flowlines, risers, umbilicals, and subsea structures. The role also includes mentoring engineers, supporting tender activities, and working closely with clients and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver safe and efficient offshore installation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Installation Engineering

  • Develop engineering solutions for offshore installation projects
  • Perform installation analyses for subsea pipelines, flexible flowlines, risers, umbilicals, rigid spools, and associated offshore systems
  • Support installation of subsea structures including manifolds, PLETs, ILTs, protection structures, and related equipment
  • Develop safe and efficient installation methodologies that comply with project requirements and industry standards

Technical Leadership

  • Provide advanced technical support and engineering guidance for installation analysis activities
  • Review and verify engineering analyses and technical deliverables
  • Resolve complex installation engineering issues and recommend practical solutions
  • Lead discipline engineering activities and coordinate technical inputs from subcontractors where required

Project Support

  • Interface with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, and client representatives throughout project execution
  • Support offshore installation campaigns as required
  • Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and client presentations
  • Provide engineering support during offshore operations and installation execution

Tender & Business Support

  • Provide technical input during tender preparation and bid evaluations
  • Develop engineering methodologies and cost-effective installation solutions for new opportunities
  • Support business development activities through technical presentations and client engagement

Engineering Management

  • Coordinate discipline schedules, budgets, and engineering deliverables
  • Ensure installation analyses are completed in accordance with project programmes
  • Support continuous improvement of engineering tools, methodologies, and work processes
  • Promote innovation and optimisation within installation engineering activities

Knowledge Sharing & Mentoring

  • Mentor and develop junior engineers
  • Deliver technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Support development of engineering standards and best practices
  • Contribute to technical papers, seminars, and industry conferences where appropriate

HSE & Quality

  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with company HSE requirements and recognised offshore engineering standards
  • Promote quality, technical integrity, and safe engineering practices throughout project delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in offshore installation engineering
  • Strong experience supporting offshore subsea installation projects
  • Advanced knowledge of installation analysis methodologies
  • Extensive experience using OrcaFlex for offshore installation analysis
  • Strong understanding of offshore engineering standards and subsea installation practices
  • Experience supporting flexible flowlines, risers, pipelines, umbilicals, and subsea structures
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong planning, organisational, and project management abilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on offshore projects within the Asia Pacific region
  • Experience using Python for engineering automation or analysis
  • Knowledge of CAD software and engineering modelling tools
  • Experience supporting tender preparation and business development activities
  • Previous mentoring or engineering team leadership experience
