Key Responsibilities

  • Represent operations during feasibility/conceptual study, FEED, and EPIC stages of all major projects related to Idd El-Shargi.
  • Coordinate closely with all relevant authorities by conducting site surveys, plot plan verifications, and gathering existing equipment data.
  • Review project documents such as P&ID, layout, tie-in, and coordinate responses to various technical queries, ensuring all relevant disciplines are involved.
  • Act in place of the OIS during HAZOP/HAZID, SIMOPS workshops, 3D model reviews, constructability reviews, and shutdown workshops.
  • Review and coordinate the project execution plan with the offshore operation team to ensure timely completion without implications for plant maintenance and operations.
  • Coordinate execution of shutdown-sensitive projects in collaboration with related departments to ensure smooth project execution and avoid loss of revenue.
  • Liaise with OIS, operation safety, project, and other related disciplines to determine simultaneous operations during project execution, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and company policies.
  • Maintain relationships with offshore operation, maintenance, engineering, and HSE departments to ensure operational requirements are identified and incorporated into project planning and execution.
  • Participate in various project meetings, reviews, and progress discussions on behalf of Operations.
  • Coordinate project start-up with all relevant parties and the end user to ensure safe, proper, and timely start-up.
  • Provide technical multi-discipline support to the site during installation and commissioning activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, operation management, industrial management, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum Experience: 10 years of supervisory and management experience, preferably gained in production operations offshore; at least 5 years as an offshore OIM/OIS in an international context is essential. Experience in managing a multi-cultural workforce.
  • Job-Specific Knowledge:
    • In-depth knowledge of PTW systems, hazard reviews, ALARP principles, risk assessment, HAZOPs, and SIMOPS.
    • Working knowledge of process plants, wellheads, engineering design, management of change, offshore installation, commissioning, and start-up.
    • Additional value for having OIM Controlling Emergencies certification to OPITO standards and direct experience in managing major emergencies.
