Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Lead Planning Engineer to join a major hyperscale data center development in Texas. This role offers the chance to contribute to one of North America's largest digital infrastructure programmes, supporting the delivery of advanced facilities designed for AI, cloud computing, and next-generation technology.

As Lead Planning Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful planning and delivery of a large-scale, multi-phase programme. Working across engineering, construction, and project management teams, you will lead master planning, construction sequencing, utility coordination, and programme integration across critical infrastructure, ensuring each phase is delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead master planning and programme integration across multiple project phases.

  • Develop and manage construction sequencing and delivery strategies.

  • Coordinate utilities, infrastructure, and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.

  • Support planning activities across power systems, cooling infrastructure, data halls, and associated facilities.

  • Work closely with engineering, design, construction, and project management teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.

  • Monitor programme progress and identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery.

  • Support planning for complex permitting, infrastructure, and construction activities.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project planning and delivery.

  • Prepare planning reports, schedules, and project updates for senior management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Planning Engineer on large-scale industrial, infrastructure, mission-critical, energy, or data center projects.

  • Strong understanding of programme planning, scheduling, and construction sequencing.

  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple project interfaces and competing priorities.

  • Strong knowledge of project planning methodologies and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work within complex, fast-paced project environments.
