Lead Electrical Engineer

Role Purpose

Lead and manage all electrical engineering activities for the replacement of LMLS, ECMS, TDM, and Synchronization systems across 20 substations, ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards and project safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee detailed engineering for ECMS, LS, TDM, synchronizing panels, and earthing system implementation.
  • Validate front-end engineering design (FEED) deliverables and update designs based on site surveys and OEM input.
  • Lead power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, transient stability, and load shedding, using industry-standard software tools.
  • Ensure adequacy checks for existing UPS, DC supplies, and HVAC systems.
  • Review cable sizing, routing, and replacement philosophy.
  • Coordinate with OEMs for switchgear, relay configuration, and GCP/TCP modifications.
  • Support construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
  • Manage electrical deliverables, including I/O lists, cable schedules, SLDs, and equipment layouts.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree: Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 15+ years, with at least 8 years in brownfield oil & gas EPC projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IEC and IEEE standards, as well as industry-specific standards and safety requirements.
  • Proven experience with load shedding schemes and transient stability studies.
  • Experience on major oil & gas projects is strongly preferred.
