Key Responsibilities:
- Provide independent, expert, and professional advice and guidance to site management on all health and safety issues.
- Promote and actively participate in fostering a high standard of health, safety, and environmental awareness and culture at the wind farm.
- Support Offshore Operations in managing QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) risks under the guidance of the QHSE Manager or Head of Site.
- Maintain an understanding of the Offshore asset integrity management policy and strategy.
- Review and update site-specific processes, procedures, and instructions in the Integrated Management System (IMS) based on requirements and scope of work.
- Support a culture of using and maintaining relevant IMS processes, procedures, and instructions.
- Update and manage the Incident reporting tool; enter, follow up on cases, or support/train local responsible personnel on usage.
- Perform first-line quality checks and conduct investigations when needed.
- Provide feedback on the status of incident cases to technicians or other relevant stakeholders.
- Lead by example to build a positive culture around incident reporting; share knowledge and lessons learned.
- Support legal compliance through tools such as RedOnline and promote awareness of legal requirements on site.
- Execute legal monthly compliance checks with RedOnline and prepare action plans.
- Contribute to maintaining site compliance standards.
- Support quality tasks such as inspections and initiatives as defined by the QHSE organization.
QHSE Activities (on- and offshore; offshore rotation if required):
- Engage with QHSE back-office for input into the global QHSE plan and strategy.
- Carry out safety inspections, incident investigations, and root-cause analyses on vessels and facilities (SOV, CTV, turbines, OSS, HUB-facilities, helicopter facilities, etc.).
- Document safety inspections.
- Plan, execute, and follow up on emergency exercises and Emergency Response Plan.
- Review and update activity plans according to requirements, scope, and KPIs.
- Support site-based QHSE culture projects.
- Roll out and follow up on all QHSE-related campaigns both onshore and on vessels.
- Participate in kick-offs on vessels for service campaigns when relevant.
(Q)HSE Meetings:
- Participate in and support toolbox talks, back-to-work briefings, and end-of-shift meetings.
- Contribute to all relevant site (Q)HSE meetings.
- Participate in QHSE governance and board reporting.
- Participate in internal and external QHSE meetings.
- Support and follow up on findings from audits; assist in the implementation of non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Support site management in reporting to authorities as needed.
Additional Tasks:
- Report Lost Time Incidents (LTIs) to the HSE organization per process.
- Provide daily ad hoc QHSE advice to management, technicians, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Observe execution of special tasks such as retrofits or main component exchanges.
- Ensure own QHSE certification validity (e.g., Global Wind Organization Basic Safety Training).
- Proactively maintain own competency level required for the role.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Full GWO certification, HUET, OGUK medical, and Chester Step test (score: 35 or above). Willingness to travel offshore via CTV or helicopter.
- QHSE-related qualifications per national standards.
- Experience in QHSE within the offshore industry.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable:
- Qualified auditor.
- Qualified investigator.
- Experience with quality management.
- Experience with environmental management.
- Advanced First Aid, Work and Rescue at Height, and Confined Space entry/rescue.
Competence:
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate across multiple organizational levels.
- Ability to achieve the expected competence level and career development as outlined in the competency model.
- Awareness of tasks with the highest direct risk to operations in areas of Legal, People, Environment, Asset, and Reputation.
- Additional competency development managed by the Learning and Development department and your manager.
