Document Control Lead – Major Energy Project
Location: Middle East (Onshore)
Rotation: 12 weeks on / 2 weeks off (or residential option)
The Opportunity
We are partnering on behalf of a major international energy development project seeking an experienced Document Control Lead to take ownership of information management across a large-scale, high-value environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a complex project, working alongside multidisciplinary teams and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant handling of critical project documentation.
The Role
As Document Control Lead, you will be responsible for leading all document management activities across the project lifecycle—driving consistency, quality, and efficiency in how information is created, shared, and maintained.
You’ll act as a central coordination point between engineering, project delivery, and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless document flow and alignment with project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all document control and information management activities across the project
- Ensure accurate tracking, distribution, and storage of project documentation
- Oversee document workflows, including reviews, approvals, and version control
- Maintain compliance with project standards, procedures, and audit requirements
- Coordinate closely with engineering, quality, and project teams to meet deadlines
- Provide guidance on document processes and best practices to internal stakeholders
- Manage records management, archiving, and secure access to project information
- Support final documentation handover to operations at project completion
- Drive continuous improvement in document control systems and processes
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
- Significant experience in document control within complex project environments
- Proven track record working on large-scale engineering or construction projects
- Strong knowledge of document management systems and best practices
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Experience leading or mentoring junior team members is advantageous
