Fabrication Supervisor - Senior

Role Objective
We are seeking a proactive, flexible consultant to support offshore wind farm projects in the client portfolio. The consultant will deliver high-quality power system studies in PowerFactory and PSCAD, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and adapt to evolving project priorities and workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Coating Fabrication Inspector / Fabrication Supervisor: Frosio level III / NACE Level 2-3 / ICORR Painting Inspector Level 3 (additional qualifications for VT / NDT will be a plus)
- Act as Senior Fabrication Supervisor, primarily for coating and secondarily for welding, NDT, assembly work, material logistics, etc.
- Oversee adherence to technical standards and assist and support suppliers in delivering products safely, with high quality, and on time.
- Work with secondary structures (boat landings, ladders, etc.) for offshore wind projects at Smulders Fabrication Yard in Arendonk, Belgium.
- Schedule working time around inspections during the week so a normal working time of 40 hours per week is respected.
- Conduct occasional spot checks and inspections during weekends; all extra work to be aligned and approved by the Fabrication Manager prior to taking place.
- Take the main responsibility for coating supervision, with additional supervision and inspection work for other disciplines (welding, NDT, assembly work, material logistics, etc.).
- Report to the Fabrication Managers for secondary steel, who are based in Denmark and will visit site every 1-2 months or as needed.
- Provide own working clothes including PPE (safety work shoes, safety helmet, safety glasses).
- Receive a set of working clothes after onboarding within a reasonable time frame.
- Use a laptop and phone provided for work purposes.

Requirements
- Coating Fabrication Inspector / Fabrication Supervisor: Frosio level III / NACE Level 2-3 / ICORR Painting Inspector Level 3 (additional qualifications for VT / NDT will be a plus).
- More than 10 years of relevant work experience from heavy-duty / offshore industry (fabrication yards, pre-assembly, or construction sites).
- Technically strong, adaptable, able to work well individually and in teams, with strong communication abilities and good English skills (reading, writing, and verbal).
- Candidates already living in the vicinity will be preferred.
- Personal flexibility to work around a schedule and be on site when needed (to be coordinated and agreed upon with the Fabrication Manager).
- Monitor relevant activities with representatives from contractors/subcontractors and supervise inspectors from other disciplines who are involved in the site team.
- Monitor work progress against schedule and highlight areas of concern and possible corrective actions. Assist contractors in documenting and correcting NCRs.
- Take the lead in obtaining documentation from suppliers.
- Assist in test on completion, including as-built drawings and documentation.
