Project Overview
Support a major industrial construction project in Southern France as an experienced Electrical Engineer / Supervisor with strong MV and LV experience. The role focuses on electrical enabling, modification, and relocation works ahead of the main construction phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Survey and identify existing MV and LV electrical installations affected by construction activities.
- Trace, label, and verify electrical cables against existing drawings and documentation.
- Identify live circuits and coordinate planned electrical shutdowns.
- Prepare electrical method statements, risk assessments, and LOTO procedures.
- Coordinate isolation, disconnection, and removal of affected cables, panels, lighting, junction boxes, and electrical equipment.
- Support installation of temporary power supplies, distribution boards, and construction lighting.
- Coordinate rerouting or replacement of power, control, instrumentation, and communication cables.
- Support relocation of panels, transformers, generators, cable trays, and associated electrical equipment.
- Oversee installation of new cable trays, conduits, supports, and electrical protection systems.
- Coordinate modification and extension of earthing and lightning-protection systems.
- Supervise cable pulling, termination, glanding, and connection activities.
- Support electrical testing including insulation resistance, continuity, earthing, and functional testing.
- Coordinate energisation and verification of relocated electrical systems.
- Maintain red-line drawings, cable schedules, and as-built documentation.
- Support final inspection and handover of electrical systems ahead of the main construction works.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong experience working with MV and LV electrical systems.
- Previous experience on large-scale industrial, construction, or EPC projects.
- Practical experience with electrical installation, modification, relocation, and commissioning activities.
- Knowledge of electrical isolation, shutdown coordination, and LOTO procedures.
- Experience with cable systems, panels, transformers, distribution systems, and earthing.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, cable schedules, and technical documentation.
- Comfortable working in a site-based environment and coordinating with construction and engineering teams.
- Available to work either a 6/1 or 8/2 rotation in France.
