Working Location: Qatar Onshore - Ras Laffan
Contract Type: 36 months contract role
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of cost control for major onshore oil and gas projects.
- Supervise or provide oversight for contractor, subcontractor, service, and vendor personnel involved in cost-related matters.
- Collaborate closely with multi-lingual contract teams, mentoring team members as required.
- Manage EPC Lump Sum Contracts from the Owner's perspective.
- Implement and enforce project business processes such as planning, scheduling, cost control, estimating, claims management, risk management, change management, procurement, and contract management.
- Generate actionable and informative reports to support project execution and decision-making.
- Drive post-award contract management and support knowledge-sharing of lessons learned within the team.
- Support the development of Developees and local teams.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements and industry best practices, especially in cost control.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Commercial, Marketing, Sciences, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Law, Communication, Technologies, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in a business-related function or discipline.
- At least four (4) years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.
- Minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory role or experience overseeing contractors, subcontractors, service or vendor personnel.
- Background with Oil & Gas companies, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, or service companies within the industry.
- Proficiency in project-related business functions such as cost control, planning, scheduling, estimating, claims and risk management, procurement, contract management, and actionable reporting.
- Demonstrated experience working on major projects in an owner's position, managing EPC Lump Sum Contracts, and working with diverse contract teams.
- Mentoring experience and ability to guide developing team members.
- Familiarity with industry practices, processes, and cost control expectations relevant to the oil and gas sector is highly desirable.
- Experience with ERP and Project Management Systems (such as SAP or other Oil & Gas ERP platforms).
