Job Title: Electrical Superintendent - Marine Operations

Working Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Reporting To:
Technical Manager / Marine Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all electrical maintenance and repair activities onboard vessels, barges, and offshore units.
- Supervise electrical technicians and subcontractors during maintenance, dry docking, and modification projects.
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of generators, switchboards, cranes, transformers, motors, VFDs, HVAC systems, navigation equipment, and control systems.
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Coordinate with client representatives, marine clients, and classification societies for inspections and certifications.
- Review and approve electrical drawings, technical reports, and modification proposals.
- Conduct troubleshooting of power generation, distribution, automation, and control systems.
- Manage spare parts inventory and procurement requirements for electrical equipment.
- Support vessel mobilization, demobilization, and offshore campaign activities.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, Permit to Work (PTW), and offshore safety regulations.
- Participate in incident investigations and prepare technical reports with corrective actions.
- Coordinate electrical surveys with classification societies such as ABS, DNV, and Bureau Veritas.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Marine Electrical Engineering certification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of marine electrical maintenance experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
- Offshore field experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with DP vessels, accommodation barges, jack-up barges, workboats, or offshore support vessels.
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems and offshore operations.

Technical Skills:
- Marine power generation and distribution systems.
- High and low voltage electrical systems.
- PLC, automation, and control systems.
- Generator synchronization and load sharing systems.
- Marine communication and navigation systems.
- HVAC and refrigeration electrical controls.
- Electrical fault finding and root cause analysis.
- Class and statutory compliance requirements.

HSE Requirements:
- Offshore HSE compliance.
- PTW and Risk Assessment procedures.
- Offshore survival certifications (BOSIET/FOET preferred).
- Incident reporting and investigation.

Preferred Certifications:
- BOSIET / FOET
- H2S Certification
- First Aid & CPR
- NEBOSH (Advantage)
- Electrical Safety Training
