Production Subsea & Inlet Day Superintendent

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of personnel, environmental protection, and the technical integrity of Subsea and Inlet equipment; implement HSE rules and procedures.
  • Provide day-to-day Production Methods support to Shift teams: troubleshooting of process upsets, technical analyses, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
  • Guide and participate in plant optimization activities and in the development and evaluation of modification proposals with technical support for process operations.
  • Develop, review, and update operating procedures and guidelines; manage isolation and spading plans, LO/LC registers, and operator rounds.
  • Coordinate and prioritize planned Subsea and Inlet work with the Maintenance & Inspection department, from weekly planning through to major shutdowns.
  • Organize permit meetings and control the opening of PTWs for critical jobs; carry out regular safety and plant integrity audits.
  • Participate in HAZOPs, technical reviews, risk assessments, safety audits, RCAs, and incident analyses; formally record downgraded situations.
  • Provide coverage for the Shift Production Superintendent during absences and support during plant upsets and emergencies.
  • Keep records of Subsea and Inlet activities, verify Shift team logs, and prepare reports on plant trips, abnormal operations, and incidents.
  • Develop the production team, with a strong focus on National staff: training plans, annual objectives, and end-of-year appraisals.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Applied Science or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent international standard).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 20 years of production experience in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.
    • Minimum 10 years in senior production positions.
    • Minimum 10 years in LNG Subsea operations and gas treatment.
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Technical Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of oil & gas / LNG production processes and methods.
  • Excellent knowledge of natural gas treatment and Subsea operations.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot process problems and upsets.
  • Excellent knowledge of HSE and Environmental Management Systems (including ISO 14001).
  • Excellent knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) systems in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • High knowledge of Emergency Response systems and experience handling plant emergencies.
  • Good command of MS Office applications.
