JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Objective / Success Criteria / KPI:
Responsible for electrical supervision, electrical quality control and commissioning activities.
Manage the overall commissioning planning within the agreed construction schedule.
Manage overall commissioning planning, time schedule and quality control during electrical installation (LV, MV, HV and SCADA components).

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure on-time commissioning of the onshore substation ready for handover to operation.
- Establish and manage the onshore commissioning organisation within the full electrical scope including installation, quality and commissioning of LV, MV, HV, protection and SCADA equipment.
- Manage the overall commissioning planning within the agreed construction schedule.
- Coordinate commissioning activities with main suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Coordinate commissioning activities across the project.
- Secure quality of commissioning works and documentation.
- Report installation and commissioning progress and participate in commissioning meetings.
- Ensure that quality is within the agreed standard during construction.
- Ensure all commissioning is completed in due time and to agreed standard.
- Provide input to Design Critical to Quality (CTQ).
- After contract signing, ensure updating of Critical to Quality (CTQ) and transfer control of CTQ to the Quality Activity Schedule (QAS).

Tasks:
- Manage overall commissioning time schedule, including key milestones.
- Supervision and quality control during mounting/installation of electrical systems.
- Coordinate the electrical installation and commissioning activities performed by suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in witnessing of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
- Coordinate and participate in witnessing of Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Coordinate and execute Site Integration Tests (SIT).
- Ensure that commissioning activities are in compliance with project HSE rules and local legislation.
- Report commissioning activities to the project and to the site management.
- Coordinate commissioning with grid company, authorities, Lead Commissioning Manager and SAPs.
- Contribute actively to evaluation of the project and capture lessons learnt throughout the project.
- Create and monitor execution of QAS and align input from supplier quality management.
- Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) from suppliers and ensure verification and validation of product quality controls (QC).
- Manage product non-conformance reports (NCR).
- Review product and as-built documentation during execution phase.
- Ensure maintenance is performed according to manuals.

Decision Authority / Responsibility:
- Request commissioning resources internally and externally, including replacing resources if required.
- Launch required project activities to facilitate commissioning progress within approved scope and budget.
- Propose mitigations and supplier follow-up actions to the relevant project managers.
- Take site-specific and quality-related decisions in relation to suppliers.

Qualifications / Requirements:
- Minimum five years of relevant project experience.
- Strong project management and coordination skills, with a talent for driving solutions to achieve outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong personal drive and a proactive mindset.
- Commissioning experience within MV/HV equipment, SCADA, low voltage and utility installations and components.
- Experience with offshore substation work.
