Key Responsibilities

  • Completing planned maintenance inspections to a high standard
  • Planning and delivering corrective and reactive work, minimising downtime
  • Maintaining and improving plant and equipment to maximise availability and performance
  • Carrying out dynamic risk assessments to uphold safe working practices
  • Maintaining shift paperwork, condition reports, and stock control records
  • Assessing malfunctioning equipment and advising site management on next steps
  • Supporting engineering projects, new installations, and refurbishments
  • Updating and administering the CMMS
  • Contributing to problem-solving workshops to identify root causes and improvements
  • Attending daily review meetings, reporting on maintenance compliance and live defects

Requirements

  • Completed apprenticeship (NVQ Level 2 or 3) in a relevant engineering discipline
  • HNC, City & Guilds, or equivalent in an appropriate discipline
  • Experience working within a process, production, or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems, their purpose, and functionality
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and safety
  • Strong diagnostic skills and logical, methodical thinking
  • Good communication skills across a production team
