JOB PURPOSE (Why the position exists)
The post holder is responsible for handling and managing survey systems and providing technical input for project deliverables.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY
1) When serving projects (Offshore / Onshore worksite), including but not limited to:
- Perform rigging up and down of any surface / sub-surface positioning related systems.
- Perform the deployment and recovery of in-sea equipment for towed seismic operations.
- Operate any surface / sub-surface positioning related systems.
- Perform the calibration of any surface / sub-surface positioning related systems.
- Provide maintenance and service of any surface / sub-surface positioning related systems.
- Operate ancillary surface / sub-surface positioning related systems.
- Complete and maintain all surface / sub-surface positioning related systems documentation.
- Complete fault report forms, incident reporting and end of trip reports.
- Interface all equipment and sensors.
- Ensure correct setup of survey systems.
- Keep track of equipment lists.
- Assist in all duties of the Senior Survey Engineer.
- Abide by both company and client rules and instructions at all times, except where doing so would constitute a hazard or threat to personnel or equipment.
- Co-ordinate activity with other members of the company in a mutually helpful way.
- Strictly adhere to the principles of trust, integrity and confidentiality.
2) When not serving projects (in the office), including but not limited to:
- Assist the Operations Manager / Project Manager in preparation of procedures.
- Co-ordinate activity with other members of the operations team in a mutually helpful way.
QUALITY HEALTH SAFETY ENVIRONMENTAL (QHSE) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Report quality-related problems and HSE hazards or deficits within their area to the QHSE Department.

- Properly maintain assigned equipment and monitor compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Abide by both company and client rules and instructions at all times, except where doing so would constitute a hazard or threat to personnel or equipment.
- Support, promote and participate in all company-related programmes and action plans in relation to ISO, HSE Management System and other programmes.
- Ensure compliance with HSE guidelines and regulations in addition to promoting safety awareness and environmental consciousness and complying with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Part VI General Duties of Employees of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514), Regulations and Orders.

QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
- Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of three (3) years working experience as an Engineer, preferably in the oil and gas fabrication industry.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Familiar with international codes and standards such as API, ASTM, AWS, BS, AISC and client specifications.
- Familiar with 3D modelling software.
- Able to conduct engineering analysis and read engineering drawings.
- Engineering design (Level 3).
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE (Survey Focus)
- Minimum of two (2) years working experience as a Survey Engineer, preferably in the oil and gas fabrication industry.
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS (Survey Focus)
- Responsible for operating tow equipment, survey systems and technical software packages at the worksite.
- Ensure project quality objectives are achieved.
- Support the implementation of proactive solutions for any quality control-related problems that may arise.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of project procedures.
- Involved in maintaining survey equipment at the work location.
