Job Title: NDT Engineer (NDT Level III)

Contract Type: 12 months

JOB PURPOSE (Why the position exists)
- Drive disciplined global Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) planning and execution with a centralized, collaborative approach
- Execute and support the NDT function under the Welding, Coating & Inspection (WCI) Department in line with operational requirements
- Ensure that the NDT function is aligned and projects are executed smoothly

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for the execution and support of the NDT function under the WCI Department to ensure safe, efficient and performant operations as well as project and tender execution
- Responsible for the overall performance of the NDT function
- Provide NDT-related inputs for the development of project-specific Engineering Critical Assessment (ECA)
- Responsible for developing offshore NDT operational procedures and for maintaining and updating them as required
- Ensure sufficient qualified resources are available for project execution according to international standards and project-specific requirements
- Provide support for project bidding and tendering, including technical review, cycle time and costing validation
- Promote and drive QHSE commitment and adherence to safe work policies and practices within the NDT function
- Actively participate to promote HSE conformance and work on establishing a strong Safety Culture within the NDT function
- Act as focal point for NDT matters within the WCI Department
- Interface with other departmental functions and with subcontractors and vendors, while promoting teamwork
- Maintain the WCI Department's shared drive and know-how related to WCI Department activities
- Identify NDT and operations requirements for effective project execution, ensuring optimal technical NDT solutions including for challenging applications
- Adhere to corporate policies and procedures at all times

QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
- PCN, CSWIP or ISO 9712 Level III in UT and PAUT
- CSWIP Level II in AUT Data Interpretation
- ASNT NDT Level III in RT, UT, MT and PT is an advantage
- Membership in relevant international bodies is an advantage

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of three (3) years working experience as an Engineer, preferably in the Oil and Gas Fabrication industry
- 8 - 10 years of working experience in NDT, including use of advanced NDT techniques (AUT and PAUT including relevant qualification, validation and demonstration), conventional NDT techniques (RT, UT, MT, PT) and destructive testing for oil and gas industry applications
- Experience in delivering offshore pipeline and structural projects
- Experience in project bidding and tendering (technical, cycle time and commercial)
- Worldwide experience in managing major exploration and production operators

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Leading, and familiar with international codes and standards such as API, ASTM, AWS, BS, AISC and major client specifications
- Familiar with PDMS and other relevant 3D Modelling Software
- Able to conduct engineering analysis and read engineering drawings
- Engineering Design (Level 3)
- Good knowledge of NDT, welding and quality control for offshore pipelines and structures
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and process improvement skills
- Good interpersonal, communication and motivational skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of project execution and project cost control management
- Strong ability to handle multiple clients, manage subcontractors and vendors, and mitigate project execution risks
