Job Description
Our client has made a technological decision in recent years to use ESRI as the foundation for its Geographic Information Systems. The setup, maintenance and monitoring of this foundation, as well as the building and release of GIS applications that use the ESRI software stack, represent a constant challenge.
A large product team of more than 40 IT and business specialists works full-time on the development of a GIS-centric asset management system for our client.
In this context, our client is looking for Graphic ICT Specialists to support the delivery of its maintenance assignments and projects.
For this request, we are looking for a GIS Specialist with development skills who has experience maintaining and improving ESRI Enterprise systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring the environment
- Upgrading both software and server infrastructure
- Rolling out patches
- Automated release of applications
- Preparing and developing technical analyses
- Scripting via PowerShell and Python - or even development via .NET - to support administration or the execution of standard tasks
- Providing technical support in resolving specific problems resulting from user incidents within the assigned applications
Skill / Requirements
- Demonstrable experience with Geocortex and/or VertiGIS Studio products
- Demonstrable experience maintaining and improving existing ESRI Enterprise systems
- Demonstrable experience developing in .NET
- Demonstrable experience developing GIS systems
- Demonstrable experience with web interfaces, including SOAP and REST
- Candidate can demonstrate during interview the required adaptability, proactivity and solution-oriented approach
- Candidate can demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills during interview
- Language requirement: Dutch-speaking at European CEFR level C2
- Demonstrable experience with releases in a DTAP/OTAP environment
- Demonstrable experience with IIS web server software
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience with relational databases, e.g. Oracle, SQL, etc.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Agile development methodology
- Language requirement: Dutch-speaking at European CEFR level C2
