Job Purpose
The Scheduler maintains accurate, timely project schedules and related data to support on-time and on-budget delivery of solar and storage projects. This role focuses on building and updating schedules, running standard reports, and flagging risks and variances so that project teams and leadership have clear, reliable visibility into milestones and critical path.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update project schedules across assigned projects from Development through Final Completion based on inputs from cross-functional teams.
- Build and revise project schedules using standard templates, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with project scope, objectives, and deadlines.
- Keep schedule data current to support integration into the master schedule and portfolio reporting.
- Run standard schedule, critical path, and float reports.
- Track progress versus baselines and key milestones, clearly flagging slippage, conflicts, and dependencies to the Scheduling Program Manager and project teams.
- Escalate significant schedule risks or trends in a timely, data-driven manner.
- Cross-check dates and milestones across project systems to maintain consistency and data integrity.
- Support the preparation of standard reports and dashboards by ensuring schedule data is clean, complete, and aligned with required fields.
- Follow established scheduling standards, workflows, and SOPs, raising questions when templates or processes appear misaligned with project realities.
- Work closely with project managers, EPC partners, and internal stakeholders to gather schedule inputs, clarify assumptions, and reflect agreed changes in the schedule.
- Communicate schedule updates and issues in clear, concise terms, helping stakeholders understand timing impacts and dependencies.
- Participate in and lead recurring project and portfolio meetings as the schedule owner for assigned projects.
- Proactively provide feedback on schedule templates, workflows, and reports where recurring issues or inefficiencies are observed.
- Support implementation of new scheduling processes, tools, or SOPs by testing changes, adopting new standards, and sharing practical input from day-to-day use.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of experience in utility-scale renewables in a scheduling, project coordination, or construction operations role.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Primavera P6 building, updating, and analyzing project schedules.
- Experience working within construction or EPC environments, preferably across multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 for schedule creation, updating, and basic critical path analysis.
- Working knowledge of at least one construction/project platform such as Procore (or similar).
- Comfort working with data from multiple systems (e.g., Salesforce, Sigma, Excel, Power BI or similar) and reconciling discrepancies.
- Solid understanding of project management fundamentals and critical path method (CPM).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to ask clarifying questions and seek guidance when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting lender-facing reports or formal monthly reporting cycles.
- Exposure to portfolio-level scheduling, not just single-project work.
- Experience in a matrixed or cross-functional organization.
