Management Accountant

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate monthly management accounts for the Oman and Dubai businesses within agreed reporting deadlines.
  • Manage month-end activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare clear commentary on financial performance, explaining movements in revenue, gross profit, costs and profitability.
  • Investigate variances against budgets, forecasts and prior periods, highlighting issues and actions required.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and account for foreign currency transactions.
  • Work with operational colleagues to ensure billing, payroll and other financial inputs are complete and accurately reflected in the accounts.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
  • Monitor working capital, highlighting overdue balances and other areas requiring attention.
  • Support year-end reporting, audit requests and local compliance requirements alongside the wider finance team and external advisers.
  • Identify practical improvements to reporting, processes and financial controls.

Requirements

  • Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or recently qualified in one of these or an equivalent accounting qualification.
  • Practical experience of producing management accounts, with a clear understanding of the month-end process.
  • A strong grounding in accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with accounting systems and financial data.
  • Good attention to detail, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve problems.
  • The ability to organise your workload and meet deadlines across competing priorities.
  • Clear communication skills and confidence working with colleagues outside finance.

  • Experience in using Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Experience supporting budgets, forecasts or financial analysis.
  • Previous responsibility for Middle Eastern entities is helpful, but is not essential.
