Safety Officer
Working Location: Onshore (Ras Laffan/Doha HQ)Contract Type: One (1) year initial contract with a possibility of extension
Work Schedule: 8-10 hours per day from Sunday to Thursday
Job Purpose
Ensure the provision of a safe and environmentally compliant work environment for all Company and Contractor personnel across NFE on plot facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that safety equipment and facilities are kept in working order by developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs and associated procedures.
- Ensure regular inspection, testing, and maintenance of all fixed and portable equipment within an assigned area of responsibility.
- Assist in developing and conducting training programs in SEQ related principles and practices.
- Monitor and facilitate the activities of maintenance and construction crews carrying out work under permit to work system to ensure SEQ compliance.
- Support and assist in incident control during major accidents or emergencies on site, investigate incidents, and prepare assessments and reports.
- Provide work direction to safety, environment, and quality technicians to ensure work requirements are met within necessary standards.
- Coordinate allocation of adequate stock of safety and emergency equipment and protective clothing to ensure availability at all times.
- Support in formulating, developing, and implementing safety programs, recommend improvements, and ensure the availability of all safety documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or Diploma in Engineering, Science, or equivalent.
- 5 years' varied experience in Safety or HSE within industries or equivalent.
