Senior Process Engineer
Location: GuilfordContract Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Lead process design work across conceptual, FEED and detailed design phases.
- Develop PFDs, P&IDs, control architectures, and system models.
- Support safe, efficient operation through process assessment and data analysis.
- Manage risk through HAZOP, HAZID, and wider safety studies.
- Ensure compliance with COMAH and regulatory requirements for natural gas and hydrogen.
- Supervise engineers and external contractors to deliver projects on time, within quality standards and budget.
- Drive innovative solutions and plant improvements across the asset.
- Coach and train junior engineers across multiple disciplines.
Requirements
- Chartered Engineer with member-level membership of a professional institution.
- At least 5 years in an engineering supervisory or management role, managing teams of engineers and external contractors.
- Multi-disciplinary experience on conceptual, FEED and detailed design projects in the energy industry.
- Strong understanding of the engineering behind oil and gas operations.
- System design experience, including PFDs, P&IDs, control architectures, and system modelling.
- Excellent understanding of COMAH and safety requirements for natural gas and hydrogen installations.
- Risk management experience, including HAZOP and HAZID.
- Proven track record of achieving deliverables and developing innovative solutions.
- Keen to build cross-discipline skills and train others.
- Degree in Chemical, Process, or equivalent Engineering preferred.
