Job Title: Principal (Lead) Piping Engineer (Onshore & Offshore)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principal (Lead) Piping Engineer to lead piping engineering activities for onshore and offshore brownfield projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in FEED and detailed design, with a strong technical background and leadership capability to drive complex engineering deliverables in a 3D design environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage piping engineering activities across FEED and detailed design phases for onshore and offshore brownfield projects
- Oversee piping design, layout, material selection, and stress analysis to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including process, mechanical, structural, and instrumentation engineers
- Review and approve engineering deliverables such as 3D models
- Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality requirements
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to the piping engineering team
- Interface with clients, vendors, and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure project alignment
- Support constructability reviews, site queries, and commissioning activities as required
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and company procedures
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university
- Minimum of 18+ years of relevant experience in piping engineering
- Strong experience in onshore and offshore brownfield projects
- Proven expertise in FEED and detailed design engineering
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in 3D design environments (e.g., E3D, PDMS, SP3D or similar)
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex project requirements
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in a lead or principal role
- Experience working with EPC contractors or major oil & gas companies
- Familiarity with brownfield modifications and tie-in works
