Job Title: Contracts Engineer (FOPS & Projects)

Client: Global Supermajor (Oil And Gas)

Assignment Type: Residential - Contract

Start Date: 1st June 2026 (Earlier is Preferred)

End Date: 30th May 2027 (with possibility of extension)

Location: Esbjerg, Denmark

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday - 8 Hours per day

Location to Perform the Work: Full Time Onshore

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Demonstrates personal commitment to the Company's HSE Policy.
  • Prepares and issues Call for Tenders documents in line with Company's rules, internal procedures and any applicable legislation.
  • Conducts market intelligence activities to ensure Company has proper benchmarks for related categories.
  • Leads cross functional teams consisting of business end users (e.g. technical engineers), finance, HSE and/or legal colleagues in the end to-end Call for Tender process.
  • Challenges and ensure the Call for Tender team have applied both technical and commercial optimization in any contracting strategy by applying a thorough scope of work review, standardized technical specifications and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Liases with other affiliates globally and Client Group Procurement (TGP) to ensure the implementation of Client Group's best practices and leveraging of economies of scale (e.g. joint tenders, global volume negotiations).
  • Drives functional excellence in the Contracts and Procurement (C&P) department by adhering to local Company and global headquarter C&P processes.
  • Facilitates effective Supplier Relationship Management, by ensuring transparent and auditable communication are maintained with relevant Suppliers (either in pre-award or post award contract phases).
  • Works with internal stakeholders to ensure optimum stock/inventory management is practiced for relevant contracts (where applicable).
  • Drives effective Post Award Contract Management with suppliers to ensure they comply with the contract terms and conditions in line with technical, HSE, legal/statutory and commercial performance objectives.
  • Prepares (together with the technical duet) and presents dossiers/cases to the Local affiliate's Contracts Committee, TGP Category Boards and/or other higher contracts committees (Branch CC, DIG, COVAL or COMEX) where applicable.
  • Coordinates interactions between internal/external stakeholders e.g. technical end users, finance, HSE, legal, TGP, OneTech, affiliate management on any C&P related matters.
  • Familiarizes self with all relative group directive/Company Rule documents related to C&P (e.g. CR_EP_GOV_001 etc)
  • Captures and reports C&P related savings (e.g. Economic Impact or Performance) in the relevant systems such as AGORA, etc.
  • Ensures the good administration, filing and update of all data and documents in the company's relevant systems e.g. ARIBA, SAP or the central drive.
  • Ensures that all related documents for tenders/contracts (e.g. CSDs, ITTs, RTAs etc) are stored in line with the applicable affiliate's C&P procedures.
  • Preparation and execution of all Call for Tender exercises and finalization of subsequent contracts as required by the affiliate, complying with applicable internal regulations and procedures as well as any external legislation.
  • Lead all procurement negotiations in an efficient and commercially sound manner to obtain the best commercial outcome for the affiliate.
  • Ensuring that all contract data in the various contract systems (e.g. SAP, Agora) are correct and up to date.
  • Facilitating efficient Post Award Contract Management to drive best contract value, utilizing relevant contract templates, framework agreements and industry best practices (e.g. working with relevant stakeholders to set contract KPIs, etc).
  • Prepares and moderates all relevant contract engagement meetings e.g. Service Quality Meeting (SQM)

Candidate Experience/Qualifications Required

  • Qualification level required for the position: Bachelor's or equivalent level
  • Technical skills required for the position: Knowledge of company and Group standards and procedures required. Commercial
  • awareness and strong business sense. Basic understanding of contract legal terms and conditions.
  • Behavioural competencies required for the position: Excellent communication skills (presentation to multiple stakeholders and
  • able to hold effective conversations). Competent business writing skills (able to write clear and concise procurement dossiers).
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Language skills required for the position: English - Fluent (both written and spoken).
  • Specific knowledge required for the position: Knowledge of using software tools such as Microsoft suite of applications, SAP,
  • ARIBA e-sourcing, etc. Basic knowledge of legal terms and conditions in contracts (definitions, liabilities and indemnities, insurances, etc)
  • Level of experience required for the position: Desirable to have relevant experience (3 years and above) within Oil & Gas operations.
