Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree: Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Additional Qualifications: Postgraduate diploma or certification in Project Planning and Control is an added advantage.

Registrations & Certifications

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent (preferred).
  • Training in Earned Value Management (EVM) or Cost Control is advantageous.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System awareness (preferable).

Experience

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling for large-scale construction and MEP projects including commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure developments.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of GCC experience, with a preference for UAE exposure.
  • Proven track record in planning, monitoring, and reporting engineering, procurement, and construction activities in fast-track projects.

Computer Software Proficiency

  • Expert in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for project scheduling and progress tracking.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit MEP for construction sequence understanding (preferred).
  • Familiar with ERP systems and Power BI dashboards for project reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the overall project schedule using Primavera P6, ensuring logical sequencing of construction, procurement, and commissioning activities.
  • Establish the project baseline program in collaboration with the Project Manager, Engineers, and Department Heads.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress, updating schedules to reflect actual site performance and productivity.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and resources.
  • Analyze critical path activities and prepare recovery or mitigation programs in the event of delays.
  • Review and integrate subcontractor schedules into the master program and monitor performance.
  • Track and report engineering deliverables, procurement milestones, and overall construction progress.
  • Prepare progress S-curves, manpower histograms, and resource allocation charts for management review.
  • Generate regular and ad hoc progress reports highlighting variances, slippages, and forecast completion dates.
  • Support the commercial team in evaluating extension of time (EOT) claims and conducting delay impact analysis.
  • Coordinate with the cost control department to link cost data with the project schedule for earned value analysis.
  • Review tender documents and prepare preliminary project schedules, identifying key milestones and resource requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to verify progress, assess productivity, and collect data for schedule updates.
  • Participate in project meetings with clients and consultants, presenting schedule status and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure planning and reporting activities comply with contractual requirements and project execution plans.
  • Assist in preparing handover schedules and final project documentation, including as-built programs.
  • Support implementation of project control procedures to ensure alignment with company policies and ISO standards.
