Maintenance Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of multi-skilled maintenance technicians.
• Set the standard for safe working across all maintenance activity.
• Coordinate planned and reactive work with operations and engineering teams.
• Lead breakdown recovery efforts to restore plant operations.
• Apply root cause analysis, FMEA, and RCM to reduce repeat failures.
• Improve equipment uptime, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair).
• Resource and deliver shutdown and turnaround work.
• Manage contractors and monitor their performance on site.
• Support capital and asset improvement projects.
• Maintain statutory inspections, workshop, and maintenance documentation.

Requirements

• HNC or above in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Significant maintenance and reliability experience in a large process or manufacturing environment; chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Proven people leadership in a maintenance or engineering setting.
• Hands-on knowledge of rotating and static equipment in a hazardous process environment.
• Strong working knowledge of DSEAR, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, pressure systems, and permit-to-work.
• Understanding of process safety, including MOC (Management of Change) and mechanical integrity.
• Experience with CMMS and ERP systems.
• NEBOSH General, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or project management experience preferred.
