Project Scope of Work

Located proximity 20 km to the east of the Gulf line and approximately 12 km Southwest of the existing Safaniyah GOSP-1 facility, the objective of this Budget Item is to provide water supply from three (3) sources; the existing Safaniyah GOSP-1, the new Zuluf AH Central Processing Facility (CPF), and Jaladi aquifer water for the purpose of treatment and injection. The facility will process 1,400MBCD of water for injection to cover the production forecast up to 2035; to ultimately maintain the existing Safaniyah Field's Maximum Sustainable Capability (MSC). In addition, the scope will expand water facilities in Safaniyah GOSP-1 to accommodate the surplus produced water that exceeds the overall existing formation water system capacity up to year 2035.

Job Purpose

Provide PMC leadership and technical oversight for Communication and Networking Systems within the Instrumentation & Automation scope during EPC execution, commissioning, and start-up phases. Ensure all systems are designed, integrated, installed, and commissioned in compliance with project requirements, Saudi Aramco standards, cybersecurity requirements, and international standards.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead the Communications and Networking scope
  • Review EPC engineering deliverables, network architectures, specifications, and vendor documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with project standards, Saudi Aramco requirements, and applicable international codes.
  • Oversee industrial communication systems including Fiber Optics, LAN/WAN, Industrial Ethernet, Wireless Networks, IP Telephony, PAGA, CCTV, and Radio Systems.
  • Verify integration of communication networks with DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA, and other automation systems.
  • Participate in technical reviews, FATs, SATs, commissioning, and start-up activities.
  • Liaise with Client, EPC Contractor, Vendors, and Operations teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

Educational & Technical Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 10-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
  • Experience in PMC, Owner's Engineer, or EPC project execution roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Industrial Communication Networks, Fiber Optics, Structured Cabling, PAGA, CCTV, Radio, and IP Telephony systems.
  • Experience with automation system integration (DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA).
  • Good knowledge of Industrial Cybersecurity and networking standards.
  • Strong familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards and international standards such as ISA, IEC, IEEE, ANSI, API, and NFPA.
  • Experience during construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal.
