Project Overview

Be part of a landmark green steel project in Boden, Sweden. As an HR Manager, you will support the business and employees throughout the full employment lifecycle. This role may be embedded within a larger HR team or lead HR functions independently for a medium to large office or project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within defined parameters to make decisions on high-complexity issues and resolve them through immediate action.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice and guidance on general HR inquiries related to policies, processes, employee relations, benefits, talent development, and payroll.
  • Manage recruitment activities in line with evolving business requirements.
  • Oversee the offer process, ensuring offer letters and employment contracts comply with policy, local laws, and regulations.
  • Manage onboarding and off-boarding processes, including conducting orientation sessions, exit interviews, and system updates.
  • Lead talent management processes, including talent review, succession planning, and goal setting.
  • Manage compensation processes such as salary reviews and promotions, and annual initiatives including merit review.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence on global initiatives.
  • Oversee HR and other systems as required, ensuring accurate maintenance and functionality.
  • Generate monthly and ad hoc HR reports by compiling, transforming, and visualizing data.
  • Recommend process improvements and innovations to enhance efficiency.
  • Develop, maintain, and approve procedural documentation to accurately reflect business processes.
  • Manage a team of HR generalists.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Lead the implementation, enforcement, and verification of compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure employees understand their responsibilities and authority to effectively implement company policy requirements.
  • Ensure the timely completion of all mandatory training for self and team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not essential.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar or senior HR generalist role.
  • Detailed understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Experience with HR systems such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels.
  • Capability to apply discretion and maintain high levels of confidentiality.
