Head of Construction
Location: Qatar Onshore - Raslaffan
Contract Type: 36 months contract role
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Sciences or Engineering
Knowledge and/or Experience:
- 10 years experience with large projects in construction-related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
- Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for technical education.
- Good knowledge of project execution procedures and field management and techniques including fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing and completions.
- Experience with oil and gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies.
Technical and Business Skills:
- Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope.
- Knowledge of offshore facilities and structures, onshore facilities, or yard operations as applicable to the project scope.
- Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
- Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
Job Purpose:
- Oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of all aspects of the relevant fabrication requirements of the project from yard activities to load out, ensuring all key objectives are achieved or exceeded.
- Ensure the constructability of the design is consistent with established project engineering drawings and industry processes and standards.
- Effectively manage issues and resolutions through strong interfaces with both company and contractor teams, delivering full alignment of the fabrication execution.
