Job Purpose
Plan, direct, and facilitate the corporate Supplier Relations Management (SRM) framework, including the development and oversight of policies, procedures, and best practices, to determine the value each supplier provides and their criticality to the company. Direct and manage all market research efforts through the assessment of market conditions, consumer trends, and cost structures to ensure the best value for money for the company and shareholders.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
- Determine, develop, implement, and maintain the corporate Supplier Relations Management (SRM) framework to maximize the value of suppliers and gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
- Represent the company as the Supplier Management Relationship (SRM) subject matter expert (SME) to facilitate joint continuous improvement, open communication, and mutual trust to develop mutually beneficial strategic partnerships with identified suppliers.
- Ensure positive relationships are maintained between the company and SRM suppliers to promote quality, efficiency, and innovation that deliver value for the organization.
- Coordinate with department managers, division managers and Heads throughout the organization on supplier relations management needs to determine, plan for, and direct required supplier alignment.
- Determine applicable procurement categories and then direct focused market intelligence research to gain buyer insights on market dynamics for potential cost saving opportunities.
Key Job Accountabilities - II
- Assess and direct implementation of market intelligence software, tools, and best practices for use within the Supply department.
- Manage the oversight of vendor performance and associated Key Performance Indicators (KPI) across the organization to determine vendor strengths and areas of improvement.
- Plan and ensure training and knowledge transfer to contracting and procurement professionals on competitive offerings, pricing, and market trends to best capture saving opportunities.
- Recruit, motivate, and manage Supplier Relations and Research Specialists to develop people while ensuring efficient and effective Market Intelligence support to meet department, group, and corporate objectives.
- Direct and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders and end users to identify business challenges and emerging supplier requirements to assess and identify vendor solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, supply chain, business or commercial discipline.
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
- 10 years' experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Understands the application of market analysis on contracting negotiations.
- Knowledgeable of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and their ability to enhance supplier performance.
