Overview
We are seeking an experienced Drilling Materials Coordinator to support drilling and completion operations in Italy. This role is responsible for coordinating drilling materials, inventory management, logistics activities, and warehouse interfaces to ensure efficient support for drilling campaigns and production operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with drilling, logistics, warehouse, and operational teams to ensure materials, equipment, and personnel are mobilised efficiently while maintaining full compliance with safety, quality, and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Support logistics and material management activities for drilling and completion operations.
- Coordinate drilling material inventories and maintain accurate stock records.
- Liaise with warehouse teams to ensure material availability and timely deliveries.
- Coordinate transportation and movement of drilling and completion materials.
- Verify and document all material deliveries, transfers, and returns.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and stock transactions.
- Support drilling supervisors with material-related planning and operational requirements.
- Monitor and document material transfers between drilling locations to ensure cost accuracy and traceability.
- Manage stock control activities across drilling sites, warehouses, and storage yards.
- Assist with mobilisation and demobilisation of drilling equipment and materials.
- Coordinate logistics support during rig moves and equipment transfers.
- Maintain accurate filing and document control systems for logistics and material management records.
- Support cost optimisation initiatives through effective logistics and material planning.
- Participate in operational planning meetings and provide logistics input for upcoming activities.
- Assist with personnel logistics and site support activities when required.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in drilling logistics, drilling materials coordination, or drilling operations support.
- Experience managing drilling and completion materials within oil and gas operations.
- Good knowledge of drilling equipment and associated logistics requirements.
- Experience with inventory control, warehousing, and material tracking processes.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Experience coordinating transportation, mobilisation, and site logistics activities.
- Ability to work effectively within multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good computer literacy and experience using material management systems and databases.
- Fluency in Italian is required.
- Good written and spoken English is required.
- Knowledge of French would be advantageous.
