Construction Engineer/Superintendent
Location: Dubai, UAE with regular travel to Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose
Manage construction sites constraints and resolve construction interfaces. Participating in risk assessments, and maintains communication with Saudi Aramco and contractors, prepare post job reports, and stay updated on project schedules and technical requirements.
The candidate must have experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical or infrastructure industries and have construction engineering experience on large to mega projects. Lead, plan, coordinate, and direct the construction work and construction subcontractor to meet all construction milestone dates and ensure compliance to standards and specifications.
Prepare and enforce the construction plan to ensure the efficiency, quality, safety, and performance of construction progress to meet project objectives.
Project Scope of Work
The Master Gas Expansion PhIII (MGSIII) program is to efficiently meet the kingdom's energy demand at central and western regions. MGSIII provides for the installation of new booster gas compression stations (BGCS) at existing East-West Pump Station-10 (EWPS-10) and add additional compression trains at BGCS-1, 3, and 5. Also, to install 56-inch pipelines totaling 1,650-kilometer along the East-West pipeline corridor and 56-inch pipelines totaling 1,100-kilometer from EWPS-10 to Shoaibah and Shoqaiq. Additionally, to install pipelines connections to industrial customers Kingdom wide.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Constructability & feasibility review during design.
- Work on Construction Schedule and verify construction progress.
- Participate in Key Design Review.
- Review construction procedures submitted by EPC contractor including but not limited to method statements, hydro test packages, lifting procedures, etc.
- Assist the Project Team to build and maintain a professional, constructive relationship with EPC contractor to efficiently and effectively manage site construction scope changes in a fair manner, avoiding or mitigating contractor's variation recovery ambitions.
- Ensure daily record, monitoring and communication of all general Construction activities in a systematic, effective and efficient manner.
- Participate in inspection exercises to assess construction work compliance with quality, HSE and other contractual requirements.
- Provide company subject-matter expertise in area of responsibility.
- Reports status, achievements, challenges and plans of action to Senior/Lead Project Engineer on a timely basis.
- Review pre-commissioning procedures and participate in all related activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 - 15 years of related work experience
- Thorough knowledge of construction practices, economic principles, international codes and standards, processes and specifications
- Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced computer skills with MS-Office
