Job Purpose
Represent the company as the Senior Site Representative onboard a Diving Support Vessel (DSV), ensuring the safe, efficient, and quality-compliant execution of offshore works. Provide leadership and oversight of the Contractor's subsea construction activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, specifications, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Senior Company Site Representative onboard Diving Support Vessels during offshore execution activities, coordinating with the Company's Vessel Management and onshore project teams.
- Provide regular updates regarding offshore activity status, progress, operational issues, and execution performance to the onshore Project Management Team.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day interface with the EPC Contractor's Offshore Construction Manager and offshore construction personnel.
- Monitor Contractor activities and ensure compliance with company specifications, procedures, risk assessments, execution plans, and applicable safety requirements.
- Ensure risks and actions identified through FRA/Risk Screening, HAZID/HIRA and safety meetings are appropriately managed and closed prior to commencement of critical activities.
- Act as the focal point between Production Operations and the Contractor during offshore field execution, particularly in relation to SIMOPS and Permit to Work (PTW) activities within the vicinity of operating assets.
- Provide full oversight of the Contractor's marine activities in collaboration with the Company Marine Lead and verify that vessels comply with applicable company requirements.
- Coordinate with the Company Diving Lead and monitor Dive and ROV equipment audits, ensuring relevant certifications and audits remain current and that outstanding audit actions are properly closed.
- Coordinate closely with the night-shift Site Representative, Diving Leads, offshore HSE personnel and other relevant project stakeholders.
- Interface with other operators and offshore stakeholders as required to safely manage simultaneous operations.
- Support the resolution of complex offshore construction and operational issues using previous experience gained in senior DSV construction and site representative roles.
- Manage and support incident response activities as required.
- Provide effective leadership within a multicultural offshore working environment.
- Demonstrate initiative in delivering timely and cost-effective solutions while maintaining safety, quality, and operational requirements.
- Ensure all activities comply with applicable Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality policies, regulations, and standards.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications- High School Certificate.
- Relevant offshore training certifications from recognized industry-accredited bodies.
- Valid OPITO H2S and T-BOSIET certifications are mandatory.
- Minimum 20 years of offshore installation experience on Diving Support Vessels (DSVs).
- At least 5 years of demonstrated experience as an Offshore Construction Manager, Company Site Representative (CSR), or DSV Superintendent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Diver or Dive Supervisor, covering either air diving or saturation diving.
- Extensive experience working onboard DSVs in a leadership capacity.
- Strong knowledge of offshore facility installation and the execution methods used for installing subsea structures from installation vessels.
- Previous experience working for a major LNG/offshore operator and familiarity with operator-specific Permit to Work (PTW) systems is desirable but not mandatory.
- Basic training and/or demonstrated working knowledge of lifting, rigging, and applicable safety standards.
- Strong understanding of offshore construction, subsea installation, and DSV operations.
- Knowledge of diving and ROV operations and associated equipment assurance requirements.
- Strong understanding of offshore HSE, risk assessment, SIMOPS, and PTW requirements.
- Ability to manage demanding offshore situations and resolve operational and construction issues using established precedent and extensive practical experience.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Effective communication, initiative, flexibility, and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work effectively within a multicultural offshore environment.
- Fluent English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced offshore construction professional with extensive DSV and subsea installation exposure. Candidates should have progressed into senior offshore leadership positions such as Offshore Construction Manager, Company Site Representative, or DSV Superintendent, combined with substantial hands-on diving or dive-supervision experience.
The role requires a strong offshore safety mindset, practical knowledge of subsea construction and marine operations, and the ability to act as the senior company representative onboard a Contractor-operated DSV.
