Subsea Controls Engineer
Working Location: QatarContract Type: 12 month contract
Job Purpose
Responsible for the integrity and performance of subsea control systems across offshore production assets, through design review, commissioning and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the subsea control system philosophy and its periodic review.
- Review SIIS and SEM designs against project specifications.
- Support hydraulic and electrical umbilical testing campaigns.
- Carry out obsolescence assessments on installed control hardware.
- Prepare technical cases for regulatory and class submission.
- Provide regular reports to the engineering management team.
- Mentor graduate engineers within the subsea team.
Requirements
- BEng or MSc in Electrical, Control or Subsea Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years in subsea controls within oil and gas.
- Chartered Engineer status with IET or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of API 17F and ISO 13628.
- Offshore survival certification (BOSIET), or willingness to obtain one.
The successful candidate will be based in Qatar, with periodic offshore visits of up to five days.
