Part A: Job Specification

Job Purpose
- Provide specialized technical expertise in the design and analysis of onshore and offshore structures and infrastructures, ensuring alignment with Operations Expansion & Start-Up department goals and overall company strategy.
- Deliver high-quality, efficient structural solutions for greenfield and brownfield structures to maintain reliable and safe operation.

Reporting and Relationships
- Reports to: Head of Functional Engineering
- Direct reports: None

Internal Relationships
- Regular contact with Operations Expansion & Start-Up, other Engineering Sections, Project Team, Onshore/Offshore Operations, Supply, Maintenance and Major Projects departments.

External Relationships
- Regular contact with third-party service providers and contractors.

Job Context and Major Challenges
- Operates in a technical environment with interfaces with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure contribution to other multi-disciplinary tasks while providing expertise in specialized civil/structural/marine engineering.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide a variety of civil/structural/marine engineering support to contribute to department goals, including design reviews, specification review and update, studies, failure analysis, and advanced troubleshooting.

2. Perform economic and financial evaluation of conceptual studies and prepare design basis and civil/structural/marine design packages as per company specifications and international codes such as BS, API, OCIMF, PIANC, ISGOTT, ASCE, ACI, AISC, AASHTO, USACE, UBC and relevant national construction standards.

3. Provide technical expertise support to Project Teams throughout the full project life cycle (pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design, construction, installation), ensuring quality and flawless execution.

4. Coordinate all aspects of civil/structural/marine engineering and provide technical support to operations and maintenance for onshore and offshore facilities.

5. Lead the definition and implementation of integrity programs for steel and concrete structures to achieve high standards of safety, reliability, and integrity/availability.

6. Act as Subject Matter Expert and develop civil/structural detailed drawings and procedures for the department. Support the organization in high-level technical tasks.

7. Perform complex and high-level structural analyses as per applicable specifications and codes, using computer analysis software (for example, STAAD for onshore and SACS for offshore).

8. Provide technical support in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), hazard and operability reviews, risk assessments, lifting and excavation certificates, inspection programs, and related activities.

9. Liaise with consultants and shareholders, represent the company to external agencies, conduct technical presentations, and support less experienced engineers to develop their capabilities. Develop training programs to keep abreast of new technologies and mentor junior engineers.

10. Provide support to Operations Readiness Plans, following up on deliverables, meeting milestone target dates, and ensuring proper handover and completion in line with company policies and procedures.

Part B: Person Specification - Minimum Requirements

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in civil or structural engineering.

Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum 8 years experience in an oil and gas environment.
- Experience in greenfield and brownfield civil/structural engineering for both onshore and offshore facilities.
- Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards such as BS, ASCE, ACI, AISC, UBC, API RP, and others.

Technical and Business Skills
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
- Computer literate and competent with a variety of engineering software tools.
