Senior ICSS Security Engineer

Contract Type
Two (2) year initial contract with a possibility of extension.

Working Location
Onshore (Ras Laffan/Doha HQ)

Work Schedule
8-10 hours per day from Sunday to Thursday
12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF (for Single Status)
30 days annually (for Couple Status)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Instrumentation and Control, Electrical, Electronic, Computer) or Computer Science.

Knowledge and/or Experience

- 6 years' experience in oil and gas industry operations, technical, engineering with ICS security experience.
- Experience implementing security controls within an OT environment.
- Strong understanding of different Industrial Control Systems environments.
- ICS system security experience, knowledge of networking and security tools.
- Knowledge of ICS security monitoring such as IDS/IPS, SIEM etc.

Technical and Business Skills

- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Computer literate.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; highly proficient in handling personnel, administrative, organizational and logistical issues.
- Ability to solve issues associated with ICS security design and sustainment.
- Lead ownership of issues related to ICS security to support and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the implementation of ICS security engineering specifications and related procedures, work practices, manuals, and development of equipment strategies for new projects. Identify limitations of existing systems, and recommend best practices and upgrades.

2. Review designs such as system architecture, network architecture, functional design specifications, detailed design specifications, and interface agreements, ensuring compliance with ICS security engineering specifications.

3. Participate in and review ICS risk assessments, technology evaluations, and deviation requests, as well as disaster recovery plan simulations.

4. Validate system builds through FAT and SAT for the department.

5. Coordinate and ensure deliverables as per the operational readiness procedure to ensure smooth handover to ICS security operations.

6. Participate in ICS security incident investigations or root cause failure analysis, and in continuous improvement and productivity enhancement initiatives.

7. Serve as focal point to ICS security custodians and ICS engineers/technicians to ensure alignment with the ICS security policy and specifications.

8. Provide technical support for clarifying, following, and implementing ICS security policy requirements across engineering sections, development teams, expansion teams, and operations.

9. Support planning and conducting periodic ICS security self-assessments to evaluate compliance with the ICS security policy.

10. Participate in life cycle management review of ICS in-scope inventory and update inventory periodically.
