Senior Fluids Superintendent

Rotation: 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off (7 days per week, 12 hours per day)
Job Description
Support drilling assets within the Drilling and Wells department, with responsibility for the preparation and execution of all fluids and cement operations on site. Act as technical support for the Drilling Supervisor on all fluids-related subjects. Prepare all fluids and cement programs, logistics, and end-of-well reports, ensuring proper quality control of all fluids and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all rig-site fluids-related operations, cement jobs, mud displacements, and formation integrity tests.
- Follow up on fluids and cement programs, identifying any deviations requiring management of change.
- Ensure proper planning and logistics for all chemicals, bulks, WBCO, and equipment for on-site operations.
- Perform quality control of all drilling fluids and cementing services onsite according to fluids and cementing programs.
- Perform quality control of all waste discharged, track all waste generated, and ensure appropriate treatment for drilling waste on site.
- Report any solids control equipment failures or non-conformance in services.
- Follow up with service companies to optimize costs and performance on site.
- Share lessons learned and experiences on drilling fluids, cementing, and waste management.
- Prepare daily activity reports on fluids, cement, and waste operations.
- Assist in well close-out reports and prepare for the arrival of new semi-submersible rigs.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders for all fluids-related subjects.
- Provide fluids engineering support to drilling supervisors on site.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
- Promote HSE objectives, ensuring drilling fluids operations comply with safety and environmental protection standards, and optimize costs and time.
- Ensure waste management is compliant with ESIA and site standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and company QHSE standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in drilling fluids and cementing offshore, including deepwater experience.
- Good knowledge of relevant industry referentials, processes, and methods.
