Role Overview

We are seeking a Regional Tracker Site Manager to lead the on-site execution of solar tracker installation, commissioning readiness, and handover across Australia and Southeast Asia, with particular focus on Malaysia and Thailand. This role ensures safe, high-quality, and on-schedule delivery of tracker works on utility-scale solar projects.

Based in the region, the Regional Tracker Site Manager will coordinate daily with EPC/construction teams, tracker suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve site issues, manage interfaces, and maintain strong field reporting and documentation. The role requires hands-on site leadership, strong HSE and QA/QC discipline, and the ability to drive corrective actions to meet contractual and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site execution: Lead on-site tracker installation execution, coordinating resources, work fronts, and daily priorities with the EPC and subcontractors.

  • Plan and supervise construction: Plan and supervise tracker construction activities (piles, torque tubes, modules-on-trackers readiness where applicable), ensuring alignment with method statements and project schedule.

  • Manage site interfaces: Manage site interfaces with tracker suppliers (materials delivery, supervision support, NCR closure, commissioning support) and ensure timely resolution of site queries.

    Better process in communication

  • Implement QA/QC: Implement and enforce QA/QC for tracker works (ITPs, inspections, torque checks, alignment/tolerances), including NCR management and corrective action follow-up.

  • Drive HSE compliance: Drive HSE compliance for tracker construction activities, including toolbox talks, permit-to-work coordination, and stop-work authority when required.

  • Monitor progress and reporting: Track daily progress and productivity, maintain site tracker dashboards, and issue clear weekly reporting on risks, constraints, and recovery actions.

  • Troubleshoot site issues: Lead troubleshooting of site tracker issues (mechanical/electrical/controls interface), coordinating with EPC, OEM, and commissioning teams to close punch lists.

  • Coordinate commissioning readiness: Coordinate commissioning readiness for tracker systems (power/communications availability, drive tuning support, functional checks) and support performance testing and handover.

  • Maintain documentation: Maintain site documentation for tracker works (RFIs, ITP records, inspection reports, redlines/as-builts) and ensure turnover packages meet contract requirements.

  • Support claims and lessons learned: Support claims and commercial inputs with factual site records (delays, constraints, rework drivers) and contribute to lessons learned for future projects.

Requirements

Education and Qualifications

  • Essential: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil) or Construction Management, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Good to have: Advanced degrees or certifications in Solar Energy or Project Management.

Work Experience

  • Essential: Minimum 5 years experience in utility-scale solar construction, with demonstrated responsibility for tracker installation supervision or site management.
  • Good to have: Experience managing subcontractors on tracker-heavy projects in Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, or similar markets.

Technical / Professional Skills

  • HSE leadership in construction environments (risk assessments, toolbox talks, PTW coordination).
  • Familiarity with contract administration support (site records, progress measurement, delay/claim substantiation).

Non-Technical / Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in multicultural teams and remote coordination.
