QA/QC Engineer - Electrical
Location: QatarContract Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Verify Engineering Documents, Procurement, Troubleshooting, and Commissioning of all Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) works.
- Prepare subject-related Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and verify their execution.
- Review and provide input on Method Statements and Job Safety Analysis.
- Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs) and ensure timely intervention during the construction phase.
- Select electrical and instrument equipment according to relevant Hazardous Area Zones and Gas Group Zones.
- Act as an effective bridge between contractors and clients.
- Monitor progress and manage test reports for E&I projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years' experience as a QA or QC Engineer in Electrical.
- At least 5 years' experience working in Oil and Gas live plant environments.
- Valid CompEx Certification.
- Experience in electrical equipment installation, cable tray installation, and strong knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation Systems preferred.
- Familiarity with all types of Electrical and Instrumentation drawings, datasheets, specifications, international instrumentation standards, material take-offs (MTO), and progress monitoring.
- Good computer skills.
- Strong command of English.
- Gulf Oil and Gas experience preferred.
