Job Title: Project Planner
Location: Manchester (Hybrid Available)

Overview
This is a Planning role at the heart of project delivery, working closely with Project Managers, Design Managers, and technical teams to build, maintain, and monitor programmes across multiple live projects. The planning function sits centrally within delivery and has visibility across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project programmes in Microsoft Project
- Work with Project Managers and technical teams to build realistic schedules
- Monitor progress against programme, identifying and flagging delays and risks early
- Produce programme updates and progress reports for internal teams and clients
- Identify critical paths and recommend mitigation or recovery plans
- Support resource planning and forecasting across multiple projects
- Assist with tender programmes and project bids
- Attend project meetings and provide planning advice and support
- Promote best practice in planning and programme management
Requirements
- Previous experience in a planning role within engineering, construction, or infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Strong understanding of project lifecycles and programme management principles
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Experience in water, rail, or infrastructure sectors beneficial but not essential
- Full right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
