Role Purpose
The Project Control Manager will lead and coordinate the safe, controlled and efficient delivery of complex energy engineering and construction activities from a Kuala Lumpur base, working across multidisciplinary office, fabrication, marine and field interfaces as required. The role carries accountability for reliable execution within its discipline, timely coordination with stakeholders, and maintenance of clear, auditable records.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead integrated planning, cost, progress, forecasting and performance reporting for assigned work scopes.
- Establish robust baselines, coding structures, progress measurement and change-control processes.
- Analyse schedule and cost trends, identify emerging risks and support recovery planning.
- Provide management with reliable forecasts, dashboards and decision-support information.
- Lead the project controls team and integrate planning, cost, progress, change, risk and reporting.
- Provide forward-looking analysis and ensure project leadership receives consistent, decision-ready performance information.
- Participate in planning, coordination and progress meetings and provide concise status, risk and action updates.
- Apply document control, change management and approval requirements and maintain records suitable for audit and handover.
- Work in accordance with applicable HSE, quality, ethics and compliance requirements, escalating concerns promptly.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in engineering, quantity surveying, finance or a related discipline, with substantial planning/cost/project-controls experience.
- Typically 8+ years of relevant experience, including leadership of complex interfaces or work scopes.
- Experience in offshore energy, EPC/EPCIC, transportation and installation, fabrication or marine construction environments is strongly preferred where relevant to the role.
- Strong written and spoken English; ability to work effectively in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment.

Additional Requirements
- Based in Kuala Lumpur with flexibility to travel to yards, ports, vessels, offshore locations or supplier premises when the assignment requires.
- Able to work to project deadlines and, where operationally necessary, support extended hours, mobilisation windows or offshore rotations.
- Any offshore medical, safety training, professional certification or competency requirement will depend on the final work scope and mobilisation location.
