Job Title: Operation MultiTech Process - Ruya Batch 1 MP FOPS
Situation in Organization:
- Reports to: Ruya Batch 1 FOPS Start up Supervisors
- The role is organizationally under Major Projects Field Operations.
- Daily reporting at site locations will be to the Ruya Batch 1 FOPS Start up Supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
Accountabilities:
During the onshore construction and commissioning phase on yard, the start-up MultiTech will assist Start-up Supervisor for:
- The witness of the Operational Test Procedure (OTP).
- The execution of the OTP.
- The execution of the commissioning (leak test, function test).
- Assist the start-up supervisor with preparation of the start-up procedures and the operation.
The Multi-Tech will accommodate with the project on the offshore temporary accommodation. They will follow the commissioning activities as seconded to the Start-up supervisor as Field Operation representative and prepare the first oil of the new wellhead platform.
In close collaboration with the Operating Authority on site (OTL) and the Commissioning Site Leader (CSL), they will:
- Assist the production team during commissioning activities.
- Assist the start-up supervisor to ensure good preparation of the start-up procedures leading to the first oil.
- Ensure that the Field Operation core crew is well aware of the procedure applicable for the new installation and the start-up sequence.
- Anticipate the temporary configuration required and the corresponding spading plan.
- Assist the start-up supervisor's role as advisor with the major project team to ensure the proper preparation of the start-up.

Activities:
- Identify in conjunction with the start-up Supervisor and Operating Authority the procedures and precautions to be taken, to provide a safe place for the intended start-up activities.
- Assist the start-up Supervisor and finalize on site start-up procedures and share them with the Field Operation core crew.
- Finalize a detailed start-up sequence in close collaboration with the core field operation crew on site.
- Participate in the preparation of kick-off meetings for start-up activities.
- Participate in the preparation of the risk assessment of the activities to be performed during the startup.
- Prepare as area authority the potential permit to work required for start-up activities associated with Company Only Fluid (COF).
- Liaise with the start-up Supervisor on the main site to coordinate the progress of the start-up.
- Contribute to updating the Start-up monitoring tools as required with the start-up Supervisor.
- Take part in every Permit to Work meeting related to start-up and commissioning activities.
- Witness along with the start-up Supervisor the Operational Test performed by the commissioning and liaise with the field operation team.
- Assist the start-up Supervisor in preparing the request and order for required start-up tools. Ensure proper storage and identification of the start-up tools.
- Prepare the operation of first fill with the commissioning team.
- Prepare arrival on site (PTW, KOM, JSA) of the vendor involved in the start-up of the facility.
- Identify and check the critical valves (especially on brown field) using a battery limit for leak test.
- Check any type B and C punch list and investigate if requested by the start-up Supervisor Field Operations lead, the OTL, or the OIM.
- Ensure the list of inhibitions and isolations with the associated certificates and risk assessment are properly signed and validated by the relevant persons.
- Be aware of the potential downgraded situation on site and update the core crew on any update associated with the start-up activity.
- Participate in HazId, JSA, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews of new facilities.
- Prepare, update, and check on site the "Red line mark-up" P&ID at the end of the construction and during commissioning phase. Ensure a set of P&ID up to date is always available for field operation team.
- Contribute to the Incident Free initiative on site by reporting any anomaly, defect, bad practice, lack of equipment, or lack of competence.
- Assist the start-up Supervisor to ensure all operators on site are well aware of the new safety system and process upgrades brought by the project.
- Maintain local signage and barriers adapted to the situation over time, with special attention to the boundaries of the SimOps area, the exit walkways, and scaffolds.
- Assist teams with procedures for mechanical isolations, de-isolations, and draining.
- Suggest improvements and requests modifications if operating procedures are not satisfactory.
All staff must be willing to participate in crisis response training and to assist during emergency response situations if required.
Context and Environment:
- Full time onshore work during engineering and construction in yards.
- Offshore rotation during HUC and start-up. Travel between sites will be necessary.
- During the offshore phase, work will be on a 28 days/28 days rotation, offshore Al Shaheen Field.
- The position will transition to Offshore FOPS upon completion of the project.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience Required
Education and Relevant Experiences:
- Education: Higher National Diploma or certificate (equivalent to A-levels + 2 years' study).
- Industry experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in O&G production operations.
Technical, Personal, and/or Linguistic Competencies:
- Ability to work independently while maintaining good relations with colleagues and others.
- Must have a proven sense of operational responsibility, courage to intervene and challenge.
- Previous experience with offshore operation, production, oil & gas, preferably former control room operators.
- Willing to work flexible shifts and extended shifts as required.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Computer literate.
Professional or HSE Certifications:
- Basic firefighting.
- T-BOSIET, H2S training OPITO approved.
- NOC PTW training & JSA awareness.
- Confined Space Entry & Rescue, Authorized Gas Tester.
- NOC lifting and rigging training, NOC manual handling training.
- Radiation protection awareness.
- Hazard & Energy control Logout & Tagout awareness.
Additional Information:
Multi Technician - Process (Production / Mechanical)
- Thorough knowledge of all types of pumps, valves, compressors and prime movers, including alignment of shafts/pumps.
- Wide Production Operator experience preferable.
